Choose a skill first
Speaking practice, grammar exercises, flashcards and a dictionary solve different problems. Start with the skill you want to improve. Read the publisher description for the supported language and input type rather than assuming that any AI assistant includes a complete course.
Check the exercise format
A vocabulary bot may send one word each day, while a conversation bot needs you to start a dialogue. Check whether answers include explanations and whether you can repeat difficult items. A certificate or exam score should never be inferred from the name of a tutor.
Try a short lesson
Use a familiar topic and check whether the explanation is understandable at your level. Ask for clarification and compare the correction with a trusted learning source. A fluent-sounding answer can still contain mistakes, especially for pronunciation and less common languages.
Decide on a routine
Choose a realistic schedule and check reminder settings inside the bot. Look at actual daily limits before committing to a subscription. A recent profile check means the Telegram profile was reachable; it does not verify teaching quality or a promised learning outcome.
